Aren't these Glittery Candle Cakes the cutest?? I found the boxes at Gordmans (they were painted burgandy, green and blue)...they were not soo pretty. I painted them, added glitter, vintage wallpaper, and lots of velvet trims and flowers. I am keeping the one on the right, and the other one is being mailed to a blog friend. I have meant to send her a thank you for quite some time, but what do you send a fabulously talented person??? I hope she loves it!!! Have a wonderful weekend.

Easter Time!!
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!!
I am ready to start making things for Easter.
This gorgeous fan is hanging in my craft room.
I found the instructions for it on Bellarama.
I put some German glass glitter on the fan, and the flowers, and it is magnificent!!
I decided since I completely blew it with Valentine's Day, that I would start Easter early. This adorable bunny is almost complete. He still needs some sprucing up, but is looking pretty darn cute. He is covered in German Glass Glitter, and the box has the words to Here Comes Peter Cotton Tail. I will add more pictures when he is complete.

My Beautiful Tiara
Last year for Mother's Day my husband gave me money, (although I am not his mother, I guess I get credit for cleaning up after him, and doing his smelly laundry..haha)... I decided to do something for myself that I have always wanted. Have a custom Tiara made from the one and only Holly of hollydoodledesigns. She is one of the most talented women around. I haven't had the honor of meeting her, but through emails I feel like I have made a wonderful friend. Some day I hope to go to Silver Bella and actually giver her a hug!!! If you haven't checked out her blog, run on over and have a look. You will want to go back through her older blogs also. It will be a feast for your eyes. Can you believe how amazing this is??
The beautiful feathers and the rhinesones
look even better in person.
I can't wait to get invited to a ball so that I can wear this!!

My Obsession with Glitter
I wanted to share with you how I became an addict of glittering. It all started when I stayed home from work sick ......I was flipping through the channels, and turned on Martha Stewart. The show featured Laurie Davis aka The Glitter Fairy. She was making a Wire Tree in a Glittered Urn. As soon as the show was over, I checked out her blog (the first time I had ever heard of such a thing), and was blown away by the talent that she had. She put glitter on everything you can imagine...from picture frames to artificial artichokes. Soon after, I found out that Laurie would be teaching her Tree class at Tinsel Trading in New York. It didn't take much to convince my incredible husband that we needed to take a trip to the Big Apple. Here are the pictures of my wonderful class. I made a friend for life with Laurie. Her patience and talent are immense. Thanks Laurie for being such an incredible person!!! Tommorrow I will tell you about the wonderful Holly of Holly Doodle Designs. She made me a crown that is so incredible you won't believe it!! I sure am proud of this!!
