Happy Birthday Dustin

Today is my oldest sons Birthday. Happy Birthday Dustin. I cannot believe that you are 26. I was so young when you were born. I had just turned 20. I realize now that I was also a baby. All I ever wanted was to be a Mom. It is the best "job" that I have ever had. This is my Dad with Dustin right after he was born.
Dustin....I love your rubber band wrist. (you know, when their wrists are so chubby it looks like they have a rubber band on it.)...
Dustin and me on his first Halloween.

Dustin....I love you, you make me proud to be your Mom!

I hope everyone has a lovely day.

My Sweet Grandma

My sweet Grandma came to town today. We were so excited, we hadn't seen her in a couple of years. Time goes by so quickly, and though we make plans to go visit her, something always comes up. She is such a sweet kind lady....I adore her.
My sister Rhonda, Grandma and myself.
My nephew Logan, Dustin, Arvene, and Brad.
Brad, Grandma and Dustin.
Logan. Grandma and Bailee.
My Grandma and her Husband Arvene. They married each other 8 years ago. I love that they are holding hands....they adore each other.
Have a wonderful weekend.

I forgot a couple of things: Grandma is 90, and Arvene is 92. I find this so unbelievable. They are both so vibrant and young. Also, my Mom told the story of the time we all headed to Nebraska for a visit, and when we arrived she realized that she had forgotten us girls church dresses. Her and Dad went out that Saturday Night, and we stayed with Grandma. When Mom and Dad got home....Grandma had sewn us all new dresses. She made a pattern out of newspaper, and used sweet fabric she had on hand. My Mom could not believe it. Yep, that's my Grandma....super talented.

Our NFL Draft Party

When you have sons, you learn to love things that you never thought you would. Like Football. I always enjoyed watching football, but never thought that I would come to love the game. My sons are HUGE college football fans. They cheer for the CSU Rams....their Alma Mater, and also the Florida Gators. My youngest started Jill who lived in Florida, and went to the University of Florida. She got my sons to adore her beloved Gators as much as she did. That was when 4 years ago we were "introduced" to a remarkable young man by the name of Tim Tebow. He is an incredible athlete,( he helped the Gators win 2 National Championships, and he was the Heisman Trophy Winner). You may remember all of the grief that he rec'd because he was in a commercial at the Super Bowl?? You know, the one where he chose a Pro Life Stance?? Boy did that get the country in an uproar!! He is a missionary who spent his Spring Break not at the Beach partying, but in the Phillipines......well, all of this is leading up to a very exciting event for my sons.Tim Tebow was chosen by the Denver Broncos in the First round!! I have never seen my son so happy!! So, it will be a good weekend at the Kraft house. Welcome to Denver Tim...we are excited to have such a good young man coming to represent Denver.
Have a wonderful Day.

Swan Lake

Last weekend my son Dustin and I went to the thrift store...they had all of their record albums 5 for a dollar. Dustin frames the older albums, and uses them as artwork in his loft. I was so excited to find this wonderful Swan Lake book album. It's hard to see here, but the color is a beautiful green......I love the photos in the album, so Beautiful!
It tells the story of Swan Lake......even the text is beautiful.

I also found this silly album, and it brought back memories from my childhood. My parents loved Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass...they played his album all the time.
I thought the album cover was amazing.....I was probably 7 years old, and I dreamed of having a wedding dress made of Whipped Cream. I thought it would be the greatest....(when I showed my husband the album, and told him the story, he said he would have gone for the whipped cream dress at our wedding!! haha)... I spent the whopping .40 cents on the 2 albums, and love them both.
Have a lovely day.

A Peaceful Space

It's tax day today. We sent a great big check to the IRS....it is depressing. So, I decided to take pictures of my living room. It is a "fancy" space...I sit in here and read often. It is peaceful and serene. Today I will show photos of the fireplace...I hope it brings a smile to your face.

This clock is my favorite...I love the sweet cherubs on it.
Have a lovely day.

Every Day is a Holiday Indeed

I hit the jackpot today......The wonderful and talented Jenny and Aaron of Every-Day-is-a-Holiday have a line of cards, magnets, journals....and so much more at Michael's.
Can you believe how unbelievably cute these cards are??? The cupcakes and cakes look good enough to eat!!
The mini cards are so stinkin' cute, I can hardly stand it....
In my rush to buy one of everything, I ended up with a few duplicates, so if you would like a set of the chocolate cake note cards, and a sweet magnet with an ice cream cone on it, just be the first person to leave me a comment, and I will send them to you!!
Have a super sweet fantastic day....I am!!

Sweet Birdies & Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday everyone. I am having a giveaway....yes, another one. As soon as I get to 100 followers I will be giving away one of my sweet candy cakes. (I blogged about it on Thursday)....all you have to do to win is leave a comment, and become a follower. As soon as I reach 100, I will make a sweet cake, and send it your way. Yesterday I packed up my Easter decorations, and stored them for another year. I just could not bring myself to pack up these two sweet birdies though. I bought them from my friend Jen...yes the super talented Jen of J. Nichelle.... I decided that they should stay out year round. They are hanging on the shelf in my craft room. I think they look perfect with my bird garland above them.
This sweet vintage birdie is wearing a bonnet......so adorable.
The top hat on this boy is sooo cute. I wish you could see them in person...hey, come over and spend the day with me, and you can!!!
Have a wonderful Pink Saturday.

Happy Easter

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter. I hosted this year, so I thought I would share a few pictures of my table.....it was a work in progress, and I didn't get any pictures after everything was on......I noticed in this picture we have no silverware. haha

Jill and Jenny made these beautiful crackers.....each one had a different decoration on it.
We set the kids table.....(haha..the youngest was 16, and the oldest 26) with my favorite bunny plates .
See the sweet centerpiece? An original by Jen at J Nichelle Holiday.

I wish I would have taken a picture of our dessert table....we had pies, cupcakes, cookies and lots of other goodies.
I hope everyone has a lovely day,

Easter Basket Swaps

I participated in some really fun swaps this Easter!! The first was for the nut cup basket swap hosted by Heidi of Birds of a Feather. I received the most beautiful basket from sweet Heather from The Speckled Egg. The basket was covered in yummy purple foil, and filled with sweet spring goodies. The handle is a beautiful velvet ribbon, and has a sweet butterfly on it. I love it. It will stay out all year at my house!! Thank you Heather.
The second was hosted by Miss Rhea...at Sweet n Shabby Roses. We covered a yogurt container, and filled it with 5 Easter goodies. It was so much fun to do. My first basket was from Bridgette at The crowned bird. She made me the most beautiful pink confection. It has beautiful vintage ribbons and flowers on the side, and a sweet bird nest and eggs in the basket. It is beyond beautiful. It's as if she knew me, she made me pure sweet perfection.
She also sent this wonderful collection of goodies. Beautiful tickets for my craft projects, and beautiful old papers that she punched with hearts and birds, and wonderful flashcards with sweet spring words on them. They are all so beautiful.
This is a close up of the sweet birdie in the nest.
This is the collection of goodies and the basket that I sent her. I made this cup similar to the nut cup I sent sweet Cathy.
My next basket was from Jennifer of Jenn's Three Graces. The picture does not do justice to the sweetness of this basket. She pleated paper around the cup, and then covered it in tulle. She put eggs, and feathers in the basket along with a key. It was really quite sweet. She sent along a sweet smelling sachet, and a bag filled with goodies.....mini sea shells, charms, a feather a ticket and other small trinkets. It was so much fun to open all the goodies. Thank you Jennifer
This is the basket I sent her. It was quite simple, but I loved the soft ivory color. I hope she enjoys....(she said her cupcake didn't survive the mail, so I will be sending her a new one)....
I hope everybody has a wonderful day. Remember to stop by Miss Rheas and check out the other beautiful baskets.
