My shocking Dinner

Okay, so this post is simply me venting. My husband and I went to Chilis for dinner, and seated next to us were two gentlemen, one which had what appeared to be a mental disability. The waitress served him his food, and then stepped a mere 3 feet away to the drink station, where she proceeded to make fun of him. She saw me looking at her with what was probably a shocked expression, and went right on laughing at him. Fortunately his back was to her, so he didn't have to witness this!! A few minutes later the hostess walked up to her, and she made fun of him again!! I know I should have stood up and said something, but honestly I was so shocked I didn't know what to do. I felt paralyzed. When I got home I called the manager, and complained about the incident. She seemed to be truly upset by what I told her. I just wish that I had said something to this girl while she was laughing. I am the proud cousin of a young man with Downs Syndrome, and I know the struggles that he has had all his life with ignorant people like this horrible girl. What in the world is wrong with people?? I wish it hadn't taken me soo off guard, because I know that I should have said something!! Thank you for listening to me.

Buttons

I was staring at this pile of buttons, wondering what I could do with them, when I remembered seeing a wonderful light switch cover that was covered in buttons. I saw it in one of Somerset Lifes magazines. I wish I could remember which one, so I could credit the right person, but I can't. So, if you thought of this wonderful idea, I thank you!! I can't believe that I didn't do this sooner. It looks so darn cute, and was so easy to do.

Of coarse, I couldn't stop with just one, I had to do both of the covers in my Craft room!!

Pool Fun

It was such a beautiful day in Colorado. After dinner, I took my book out to the pool to read. The kids joined me, and jumped in for a game of Basketball. We back up to an open space trail, so the landscaping around the pool is very natural. This is Brad, enjoying the waterfall. Brad, making a backwards dunk!! The Nuggets may want to sign him.

It's hard to believe that it is only May....it was 86 degrees out!! I hope next Sunday is as nice, so everyone can hang out in the warm weather, and not be holed up in the house.

Another Proud Moment

Friday night my "baby" graduated from college. He is now a proud alumni of Colorado State University! I gotta tell ya', I am one proud mama!! We are having his party next Sunday, so I will post lots of pictures. Brad, I Love You!

Splendid Suckers

I decided that my craft room curtains needed something springy and fun. I found these Giant pink suckers at Walmart, and decided they were just what my curtains needed.Of coarse I had to leave the glittery roses attached. I think it looks lovely!Have a wonderful day.

Glittery Shoes

I just had to show you the amazing shoes that I got in Las Vegas from the Betsey Johnson store. Not only are they cute and glittery, but they are actually very comfortable!!

Look how cute the trophy cups that I am selling in my Etsy are when they are all packaged.

This one is all ready to be mailed out. When I receive a package that is wrapped cute, I'm almost more excited about that, than I am about whats inside.

Paris!!

Hi everybody,,,just wanted to give a shout out from Paris!! Unfortunately not Paris France, but Paris Las Vegas. My husband has a convention here in Vegas this week, so I tagged along. I spent the morning at the spa...ah, I could get used to that!! Tomorrow I am heading to the pool to read, and on Wednesday we have a private concert to attend with Kelly Clarkson!! I tell ya, this is the life. Oh well, I will be back to reality on Thursday. I hope everyone has a wonderful week.
