Belated Pink Saturday

This post was supposed to be for Saturday, but I got busy and didn't get it done. I rec'd this beautiful angel from my Great Grandmother. I was only 10 when she passed away at the wonderful age of 98!! I believe this was a Christmas ornament, but I keep it on my dining room mirror year round. She has the most beautiful "angel hair" wings, and gorgeous pink satin and velvet ribbon body. If you click on the picture to enlarge it, you can see her praying hands. I love her.I hope you have a wonderful day.

Oh Valarie Sweetie...
She is the most beautiful angel ever. Imagine that you have kept her safe all these years, and have your very own angel of your Grandma to watch over your home each day.

She is so pretty and I love her little praying hands. The ribbon still looks so wonderful. You have taken very good care of her.

Thank you for sharing her elegance with me this evening. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Aww...so so sweet Valarie. Hand me down ornaments from family are the BEST! I have several from my grandmother who passed away years ago and I cherish them all. Very sentimental. The angels is pink and super sweet! XOXO,Jenn

She's beautiful and her history is even better!! I bet she was first a package decoration. She reminds me of the ones they used in the late 50's and early 60's. The presents from my grandmother were the only ones we ever got that were wrapped at the department store. I thought they were so beautiful and the little decorations were reused for years!
