Bunny Cake

I won the sweetest "cake" from Suzie Button....and it is so cute!! My pictures didn't turn out very good, so I used the ones Suzie took. This cake is so adorable....all glittery goodness.A little Easter pail is on top, filled to the brim with sweet little goodies. Stop by Suzie's blog, and say hello some time. Michael Buble

Last night was the Michael Buble concert!! It was amazing. My son wasn't able to go, so we took my other sons girlfriend. We went to the Capital Grille for drinks and hors devours first. Yummy. I had a pineapple martini.... definitely not on Weight Watchers, but so good. Michael did not disappoint. He was funny, sexy, and soo talented.

Easter Basket Swap

I participated in an Easter nut cup swap with some super talented ladies. Heidi at Birds of a Feather hosted this sweet swap. It was very intimidating to do, but I was happy with the way mine turned out. I used my favorite vintage pink wallpaper to cover the cup, and added vintage forget-me-nots, vintage ribbon, and some old vintage book pages that I shredded to put inside. I mailed it out this weekend, and hope my partner is happy when she gets it.

My baby is 24 today.

I can hardly believe it. My baby is 24 today!! (what a goofy picture)....it honestly seems like yesterday that he was born. We have a party planned at Red Robin and then tomorrow night (if he feels up to it, he has only been out of the house once since surgery, and that didn't go so well. I feel so bad, we bought the tickets before he got hurt. agh) we are going to see Michael Buble. Yes, he likes Michael Buble.....he also likes Dean Martin, Elvis, AC/DC, and Carrie Underwood. He is a young man of many tastes. heheSo, Happy Birthday to you Brad. Mom loves you, and you make me proud.

So,,,,the funniest thing happened. Okay, it isn't really all that funny, but it is kind of funny. I went to the office this a.m. to surf the web, and noticed that I had left a sheet of paper with some of the names for my drawing on the desk. I didn't put them in the hat for the prize. This seemed very unfair to me, so I had the sons GF draw yet another name to received a prize. I have no idea what I will send them, but I will find something. Sweet Bunny

Oh my goodness.....I am so excited. I got this sweet little bunny in the mail today. It was just what I needed to put a smile on my face. The unbelievably talented Lori of My Faerie Window made this beauty for me. I cannot even begin to tell you how cute it is. The sweet little bunny is wearing a tutu!! How cute is that?? I missed out on the sweet nut cup bunnies she made, and was thrilled that I could buy this one.It is just the softest most beautiful shade of pink. I am in love.

Post Op

Surgery went well!!! We were at the hospital for 8 hours...it was a long stressful day. Here is my baby in the recovery room. We loved it, because they only had pediatric rooms available, so he was there with taz and all the looney tunes characters. He is smiling here, he had a nerve block in his leg, and he was feeling no pain. I love to see him smile!!It could be a rough night, but I'm up to doing whatever my son needs. I guess that's what Moms are for!! Thanks so much for your sweet comments and prayers.

Surgery Day

Sorry I haven't been blogging much......it has been very stressful these past few days. My son is going in tomorrow to have his knee surgery. We have been going to Dr. appointments, and getting everything ready for the dreaded event. He will be out of commission, literally flat on his back for 6 weeks. I appreciate all of the kind words that you have all left me. Please keep us in your prayers.

Sweet Bird Garland

I was browsing blogs the other day, and saw a tutorial for this sweet bird garland...I just had to try it. Elizabeth from Creative Breathing posts the most wonderf0ul tutorials on her blog, she has easy to follow directions, with lots of pictures. I know this first photo of mine is hard to see, so click on it, and you will see how sweet my garland turned out. ( I just hung two of these shelves in my craft room, and boy have I had fun showcasing the lovely things I've purchased from talented fellow bloggers.)....I did big and small birds, and alternated with sweet spring colors. It was such a blast to make.
Each bird has a sweet garland of flowers around its neck.
Sorry my pretty pink birdie is blurry....silly camera.
I hooked the birds together with silver tinsel stems, the birds were top heavy, and ribbon just didn't hold it in place.

Vintage Crepe Paper Bunnies

I was so excited when I saw that the talented Ann-Denise of Whim and Fancy designs was having a tutorial on these adorable crepe paper bunnies. I hopped on over to her blog, and purchased it. I cannot wait to make these to put on my table on Easter. If you haven't visited her blog, you should. She is the queen of crepe paper. I own a few things that she has made, and they are adorable. Today is my hubby's Birthday, so we are heading to the mountains for the weekend. While he skis, I will be making bunnies. I will post pictures when I am done. Have a fabulous day.

Inside the box

I wanted to share all of the wonderful goodies that were inside my Valentine Swap box:The most adorable card....Tracey makes the most beautiful cards....and this one is amazing.
