Happy Pink Saturday

I have been searching for a vintage Prom Dress for a very long time. I admit that I am a copycat. I have seen dresses on Jen's blog, and Holly's blog, and I just had to have one. I found the white one at the Paris Flea Market this past weekend. When she told me she wanted $35 for it, I knew it had to be mine.
The bodice is gorgeous....all ruffles and frills!!
I have been coveting the pink one for several months, and when I went back this week, the vendor was there, and made me a deal that I just could not pass up. I had to lay it on the pink bedspread, just to show you how gorgeous it is. (sorry about my foot in the picture, I didn't notice it until I posted the picture..haha)
The bodice on this is also amazing.
This dress has 3 layers, the first is satin, then a layer of ruffles, and on top a layer of
alternating lace squares and tulle.

This week I hope that you will stop by and see Grace in the Pink in the City. Just the name of this sweet blog made me smile, and I know you will too after seeing her beautiful blog.
Have a wonderful day, and don't forget to stop by and thank Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for hosting another fabulous Pink Saturday.

I love them both!!! And only $35??? Everyone I've seen has been 150-ish, which is why I don't have one. Hope I find a bargain someday like you did!

These dresses are simply GORGEOUS!! I have a vintage Gunne Sax Prom dress from the early 80's that I display on my Mannequin that is the palest shade of pink, and has pretty lace accents. Thanks for sharing these beautiful treasures with us :)

Warmest, Brenda

Hi Valerie,

Nice to meet you! I love these prom dresses! I have been looking for one myself. What a great price too! I think the clock your son made for his girlfriend is just adorable. That is so sweet, that he made it himself. I would cherish that. Sounds like he will make a wonderful thoughtful husband one day. I love the idea of your faces on the vintage wedding picture. I love those kinds of pictures. That is so cool. I will have to check that out on photo shop. Happy PS!
