Flea Market Finds

My sons and I went to the flea market this morning. It was a fun way to spend my Sunday. The boys went off on their own, and I was left to dig through the "old" stuff. I found these 2 vintage prints. They are framed, and the colors are really soft and beautiful. I think I will put them in my ETSY shop soon.
I also found this old Christmas tree topper. It was in the original box, so I was thrilled.

I think the box is as pretty as the topper!!
And last, but certainly not least this wonderful Christmas Candolier. I love these things, but they are kind of hard to find. I have spread the word to everyone I know that I would love to add them to my Christmas collection, and lucky me, I had someone who loves me pick one up for me at a yard sale. My sister, who normally doesn't frequent sales, has been keeping her eyes open for me, and she found one this weekend!! Thanks dear, I love you.
Well, I am working on some Halloween and Christmas Garlands.....I will post pictures when they are done. In the meantime, Have a lovely day.

It's working!!!

Hey everybody....I got my new laptop all hooked up, and guess what?? I can upload pictures now. I am soo excited. I thought I would show you a few things that I picked up at an estate sale. I got 6 rolls of this absolutely beautiful ribbon. It says it was made in Italy, and it is a beautiful green color. I will definately be listing this in my Etsy shop soon.I found these adorable cupcake picks at a garage sale. They are the most adorable angels playing instruments. I don't know what I will make with them, but I am excited.
And I also found this set of cake toppers. The bride has a beautiful lace veil, and the detail on her dress is amazing. I love that the set has a minister also. His little bible is too cute for words.
Well, I am on a roll, and will be posting lots of pictures in the next few days. Have a lovely day.

Stupid Computers

Well, I still can't load pictures onto my computer. I am soo frustrated. My son is going to get my laptop up and running, so maybe I can on there. In the meantime, I wanted to tell you that my niece chose 3 names for my pink drawing. Jenn of Sweet Eye Candy Creations, Tristan of Enchanted Revelry, and Gabriela Delworth will all be receiving pink packages from me. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

A Beautiful New Blog (new to me at least)

Last night at 10:10 a bad storm blew through. I should have been anticipating it, because earlier in the day I jinxed myself. I was watering my flowers, and I patted myself on the back, and thought "I should have my house in a magazine, because my flowers look unbelievable this year"....well, Mother Nature heard me, and for some unknown reason, it upset her. A massive storm blew through town. Fortunately we were on the edge of the storm, so we weren't hit as hard as other areas. All of my flowers are gone, beat to the ground by the hail, the turret on our house is roofed in copper, and it too was damaged. Other areas had broken windows, and downed trees, so I know I got by lucky!! One of my husbands businesses was damaged pretty badly, but we are insured, so I guess it isn't so bad. On the plus side, I spent the day browsing the Internet, looking for eye candy. I hit the jackpot with a blog called Over the Top Designs....... You have got to stop by and check it out. Amada might be one of the most talented people around. Her attention to detail is phenomenal. She said she didn't mind if I showed a few pictures of some of her work, so grab a cup of tea, and prepare to be dazzled.
The wedding cake toppers are truly works of Art.

I hope that you enjoyed your visit.

Have a lovely day, and don't forget to check out Over the Top Studios, and tell Amada that Valarie sent you.

P.S. Tammy at Tinsel and Company is having a wonderful giveaway. Hope on over and leave her a comment, and don't forget to tell her Valarie is the one who sent you.

Pink Playroom

Happy Pink Saturday!! Once again the lovely Beverly has included me in this fun day. I decided that since I showed off my Pink Room last week, I should show you the closet in that room!! We turned it into a very cute little play area for the Grand babies. I still need to wallpaper, and add some decor, but it's pretty darn cute. You can see that the table is all set with pink princess dishes.
The refrigerator holds plenty of goodies for the kids to "eat"...
I love the retro look of the stove/sink!
The picture above the piano was made by my Grandpa!! (If you click on the picture you can see all the detail of the stitch work that he did)...
What playroom would be complete without a grand piano??
My Grandma made me this rug when I was 7 years old. I think it's held up quite nicely over the years.
Be sure and stop by Beverly at How Sweet the Sound and visit the other wonderful participants.

I hope you have a lovely day. xxoo Valarie
