Glittery Christmas

I got the inspiration for this wreath from Gabrielle of Just a Girl. I used pine cones that were collected right here in Colorado!! I dusted them with German glass glitter, and added vintage goodies. I love the way it turned out, but want to add a few more things.... The only bad part was that I placed 3 of my favorite vintage mercury ornaments on the wreath, and then forgot that I hadn't glued them on. I picked up the wreath, and they smashed on the floor. I almost cried.
Love the ball with the bells on it....so sweet.
I still need to add ribbon to the JOY, and glue it on!!
These pretty vintage bells are also dusted with Glass Glitter!!!
This little pink bell was found at the thrift store.....I love it!!
I found these lovelies at an Estate sale. I got a whole box...a huge box filled with vintage greenery and mercury picks for $2!!!
I am starting my Christmas decorating tomorrow....I will post pictures as I go. I hope that everyone has a lovely day.

Halloween with the Grandbabies

We met the grand babies for lunch on Halloween!! Unfortunately I didn't tell my oldest son which Red Robin we were meeting at, and he went to the wrong one!! Oops.
These are definitely two of my most favorite guys!! My sweet Grandson Maison, and my baby, Brad!! They look so tough teehee!!
Raelynn was a cowgirl...her mom let her wear makeup...yikes, she looked a bit grown up to me!
Two of my best girls....sweet Alexandra, and Jill. Can you believe how blonde Miss Alexandra is?What I wouldn't give for that hair color!!
Grandma and Maison.....Jason his Dad trying to sneak into the picture. haha
Grandpa, Grandma and the whole gang. Can you believe how stinkin' cute those hats are??
And last, but certainly not least....the whole gang!! I hope everyone had a super Halloween.
Have a lovely day.

Pink Saturday and Glittery Fun

Happy Pink Saturday Everyone. I wanted to show you a cute little box that I made. I bought this kit from Holly at Holly Doodle Designs at least a year ago, and finally got around to making it. I think it turned out so sweet. It is the softest shade of Pink. Just perfect for Pink Saturday, don't ya think?? Thanks again to Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for hosting this fabulous day.I also wanted to pass along some wonderful news. Laurie Davis the original Glitter Fairy has her fabulous ornaments in none other than Neiman Marcus. She did a line of ornaments for Eliot Raffet Ribbon Company, and they were sent out to the stores this week. Check out her blog for more wonderful pictures and info. I feel so fortunate to have taken a class with Laurie at Tinsel Trading in New York. She is one busy lady, and I'm proud to call her a friend. (I blogged about her on my very first post).
My husband heard the story, and took me to lunch on Friday to pick up a couple of these beauties. The quality of the work is amazing. They are so much more beautiful in person. My pictures did not do them justice.
The ribbon is the most beautiful Champagne color..... I love that each tag says that they are handmade in the USA!! You don't hear that often, now do you??
I hope that everyone visits Beverly to see all of the other wonderful blogs that are participating in Pink Saturday.
Have a lovely day.

Sweet Christmas Goodies

I wanted to show everyone my fun Estate sale finds. I spent $5.25, and got some wonderful Christmas items.
This sleigh is so stinkin' cute. The sleigh and candle are flocked, and the choir boy and girl are too cute for words.
The boy has such a sweet look on his face, and his songbook is adorable.
The little girl is carrying a candle, and her ponytail is so sweet.
I was happy when a lady put this little deer down, because I wanted it so bad. It has a cute little bell around its neck.
The little snowman has a chenille candy cane, and Santa has a chenille tree. So cute!
I thought these little flocked mushrooms were adorable. I love the glittered spots on them!!
I can't wait to use them all to make some crafts......the wreath in the first picture will probably be taken apart to use on something....I don't know what, but I'm sure I will think of something. There was also a cute pick with gold leaves, and glittered bells, and a strand of mercury beads (you can see them if you click on the first picture)
I hope everyone has a lovely day!

Happy Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday Everyone. I decided to share photos of our Pool House. We built it several years ago, and honestly it never got used a whole lot. Until my son graduated from college, and moved back home. We decided everyone would be more comfortable if he moved out there. (he is out of town, so I was able to get it all cleaned up and take pictures).
I painted it a very light pink, and did lots of sage and shabby accents.
This is the living room, (I took the picture from the loft)....
I love the fireplace...it is so cozy!!
This is an antique side board that I bought 20 years ago at a garage sale.
The chair is slip covered in Laura Ashley shabby floral fabric. I made all of the slipcovers myself. It was a lot of work, but I am happy with the end result.

We put in a small kitchenette. It has a fridge, microwave and ice maker.
The little bay window is so sweet. I love the tea set...it has bunnies on it.
I thought the bunny chandelier with toile lampshades was too cute to pass up.
Upstairs we put a bedroom and full bath. Of coarse I had to use toile for the bedspread, and matching pink checked dust ruffle....I am proud to say I made the curtains and bedspread also.

The sink cabinet and mirror were a dark brown, so I painted and stained them to look shabby.

This is the bathroom on the main floor. I love that it says "We don't skinny dip, we chunky dunk".......
I hope that everyone will stop by and say hi to Beverly and check out all of the other wonderful blogs that participate in Pink Saturday.
Have a lovely day.
